Cover Tuesday, Pt. 27

Howdy, soul children and party people. This week’s cover extravaganza features some covers by Mr. David Bowie (or Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, The Thin White Duke, etc etc). In my experience, music fans (at least the ones that I know) are either big fans of Bowie or REALLY dislike his music. I tend more towards the pro-Bowie side of the argument myself, though if I listen to too much his voice starts to get on my nerves. One album’s worth at a time is usually a good amount. And four three songs is certainly a very enjoyable amount of Bowie.

David Bowie – Let’s Spend the Night Together (Rolling Stones cover) (Buy It)

David Bowie – See Emily Play (Pink Floyd cover) (Buy It)

David Bowie – America (Simon & Garfunkel cover) (Buy It)

Oh, and in case you’re hungry for more covers with maybe a little social justice on the side, go HERE to buy Amnesty International’s Instant Karma album. The album is all covers of John Lennon songs and the proceeds go to benefit Amnesty’s work in Sudan.
