Cover Tuesday, Pt. 17

Today, in honor of May Day, the worker’s holiday, we’re going to be hearing some covers of the song “Going Down the Road and Feeling Bad.” The tune is a traditional American folk song, versions of which have been played in this country for over 100 years. While not necessarily about the workers’ struggle, the lyrics can be applied, especially the defiant line “And I ain’t gonna be treated this-a-way,” which could easily be applied to the workers fight for their rights.
