Mitch Mitchell

Along with fellow mod Moon, Mitch Mitchell was one of the true musical madmen of the drums. He died two days ago at age 61.

Mitchell, of course, played alongside bassist Noel Redding and guitarist extraordinaire Jimi Hendrix in the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Take a listen to a few of my favorite examples of Mitchell’s drumming and head over to youtube for video evidence of his greatness.
